dance therapist san francisco

LOOKING FOR HELP WITH YOUR ANXIETY OR DEPRESSION?

You’ve been trying to get into counseling in San Francisco for a while now.  You have called every provider you could find and you haven’t connected with anyone.  Some people are too formal or want you to talk endlessly.  Others don’t really understand you or the feelings that seem to be overwhelming you.

Or maybe there is something that makes you uncomfortable opening up to them--like on some level you feel how they work isn’t aligned with who you are or how you think you would best make progress.  You need someone who is both an expert in her field and that makes you feel comfortable processing your emotions.  Someone who is willing to adjust her treatment style to you and your needs and has ways to help you access feelings you try to suppress but often erupt at unhelpful moments.

My name is Lisa Manca and I am a licensed professional clinical counselor (LPCC#270) and board-certified dance/movement therapist (BC-DMT 1122) working in San Francisco.  I am passionate about helping people with anxiety and depression improve their lives by getting them to connect to themselves and their bodies.  I believe how you relate to yourself and how you live in your body has a huge impact on your life.

I use dance/movement therapy (using movement to help process emotions and help with symptoms) and attachment theory (working on our relationships with ourselves and others) to help you feel better.  You deserve to have a life where you are not drowning in your emotions and to have a therapist you feel connected to and comfortable with.  If you are ready to truly transform your life and how you feel, please click here to schedule a free 15 minute consultation today.

“Lisa is a terrific therapist and I would highly recommend her to prospective clients, whether it be for dance/movement therapy or more traditional talk therapy.

Lisa brings a warmth and compassion to her work that is genuine, refreshing, and inspiring.

When you combine who she is as a person with her excellent clinical skills and knowledge, one can see why she represents an ideal therapist to work with.”
