 1)    Dance therapy works with the body—meaning that instead of just talking about problems such as work stress and burnout, we move through them! Dance therapy workshops can help people begin to process how their work makes them feel, with a seasoned practitioner for guidance. We use movement to start the conversations about how work and life is affecting your staff and to help provide new ways to cope.

2)    Dance therapy workshops are for everyone, not just dancers. If you can move, you can participate in a dance therapy workshop. Most importantly, accommodations can be made to include every body.  There is no judgement about how participants move and movement is used as a way to express yourself. For people who have felt judged in dance class or in the outside world, being able to move without criticism can provide a sense of acceptance and freedom.

3)    Lastly, we all get into patterns and routines in how we communicate and express ourselves to colleagues in our day-to-day work. A dance therapy workshop allows a fresh way to look at ourselves, our colleagues, and our work relationships by using movement for expression and connection.
